Web Design Nelson

Pricing varies by scope. Typical NZ ranges you’ll see from agencies are roughly $2,500–$6,500 depending on size, features, ecommerce, and content. E-Commerce builds commonly start higher at $6,500. Use this as ballpark – your final quote will follow a clear scope and deliverables. Sky Media is always glad to help and create a solution tailored to your needs — balancing both functionality and budget.

For a small business brochure site: ~2–4 weeks. For E-Commerce or custom integrations: ~4–6 weeks. Timelines depend on how fast content/approvals arrive and the number of revisions. At Sky Media we map milestones (strategy → design → build → QA → launch) so you know exactly what’s next and when.

We design and develop all websites in WordPress, the world’s most trusted website platform. For online stores, we use WooCommerce — a powerful ecommerce plugin built for WordPress or Shopify. This combination gives you full control, flexibility, and scalability, without ongoing subscription fees. It’s perfect for NZ businesses that want a custom site they truly own and can grow over time.

Yes—our builds ship with technical SEO best practices: clean IA, crawlable navigation, schema where relevant, fast hosting setup, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and on-page basics (titles, meta, headings, alt text). We can also create SEO-driven copy and an internal-link plan to target your keywords.

Both options work. If you supply assets, we’ll optimise them. If you need help, our team can plan site architecture, write conversion-focused copy, source/brief photography, and set brand-consistent tone across pages.

We set up fast, secure hosting, SSL, daily backups, uptime monitoring, and a firewall/security layer. You can keep your existing domain registrar— we’ll handle DNS and go-live without downtime. Post-launch, our care plans keep everything up to date and protected.

Yes. We audit current URLs, map 301 redirects, migrate content/media, preserve key metadata, and fix internal links. This protects existing equity and helps your new site grow from a stronger base.

Absolutely. Common integrations include Stripe/PayPal/Afterpay, booking systems (e.g., Timely), inventory and POS, HubSpot/Mailchimp/Klaviyo, and GA4 + conversion tracking. We also add consent and event tracking so you can measure real leads and sales.

Maintenance depends on update frequency and complexity. We offer monthly care plans covering updates, security, backups, small content changes, and reporting; ecommerce or high-traffic sites typically need a higher tier. We’ll recommend a plan to match your risk tolerance and growth goals.

You do. We provide you admin access and documentation. Any third-party licenses (themes, plugins, apps) continue under their terms, but the custom work we create for you is yours per our agreement.
